We are excited to announce the three-day collaborative programme by Echobox Radio and pos (the possibilities open studio) during the NAP+ Art Fair, hosted and broadcast live from Centrale Markthal. On this event we will dive into the often close intersection of sound and art, examining how artistic practices, physical space and beyond,  influence one another through insightful talks, panel discussions, and experimental DJ sets. Join us on the air and on site!

Each day is curated around a central theme, and guided through the lens of one of our invited artists hosts:

Friday, September 12 – International Relations hosted by designer, artist & DJ, Sarah Saleh
Saturday, September 13 – Art Spaces, hosted by artist & pos member, Victor Kasiga
Sunday, September 14 – Words & Art, hosted by artistic researcher, radiomaker & art mediator, Iulia Aionesi

The programme will future DIY initiatives to high-production formats, both from emerging and established art organisations, collectives and individuals. Expect experimental DJ sets by artists whose practice includes sound, quick-fire 10–15 minute artist talks, and panels that investigate how art is created, presented, and experienced across a range of contexts.The complete programme will be announced at the end of August. About pos:

pos, short for ‘the possibilities open studio’ is an inclusive, and multidisciplinary community space. pos offers artistic initiatives and a space to host workshops. The dynamic space includes a high quality soundsystem, kitchen, bar, lounge, dancefloor and terrace.

NAP+ is an event with a wink to the classical model of a fair, with the mission to create an accessible, affordable, and dynamic platform for emerging and mid-career artists, curators, and galleries. This is based on the wish to foster a thriving community of contemporary art in Amsterdam.

About Centrale Markthal:

Located in Amsterdam-West, this iconic building is under renovations and it is set to become the city’s vibrant heart of circularity, creativity and culinary experiences.
