VOID: Music Against The Grain, Radio Special and Festival

Music Against The Grain – September 26 @ Skatecafé

On Thursday, September 26, VOID presents Music Against The Grain: a one-day festival celebrating the art of boundary-defying music. Expect a collision of punk, rap, dub, techno, post-punk, and everything in between.

Headlining the night is ESG, the legendary NYC dance/punk outfit, performing their final European show, alongside the long-awaited Dutch debut of Memphis rap pioneer Shawty Pimp. The lineup brings together cult innovators, fierce live acts, and local underground heroes for a night that bends genres and breaks norms.

Before the nighttime program kicks off, Echobox takes over Skatecafé for a daytime broadcast (16:00–22:00) with live shows, DJ sets, and talks.

Daytime Broadcast (Echobox @ Skatecafé, 16:00–22:00)

Bei Gas (16:00–17:00) – Amsterdam hip-hop explorer serving heavy beats, hood classics, and messy curveballs.

Moyo Demonio (17:00–18:00) – Paris-based selector connecting Memphis rap with obscure Japanese dub punk.

SKAANER (18:00–19:00) – Dark, propulsive sets spanning punk, EBM, and industrial.

ESG x Passion DEEZ (19:00–20:00) – Cult Bronx collective in conversation with bass-heavy selector Passion DEEZ.

Shawty Pimp + Strictly Tapes (20:00–21:00) – Lo-fi Memphis rap pioneer meets dusty tape culture.

Mad Professor x General K (21:00–22:00) – Dub master Mad Professor joined by reggae/dancehall selector General K.
